Kind Water Co takes $100 off for military members, veterans and first responders on any system we sell and install. It applies across our published price list, it works alongside our 0% financing, and it does not expire. We are a family-owned company in Marion, Iowa, and this is simply part of our pricing.
Active duty, Reserve and National Guard members, veterans and military retirees. On the first responder side: police officers, sheriff's deputies, career and volunteer firefighters, EMTs and paramedics, and 911 dispatchers.
If you are not sure whether your role counts, ask. We would rather answer that on the phone than have you wonder about it at your kitchen table.
Our prices are all-in: equipment, installation by a licensed local plumbing professional we vet, schedule and stand behind, taxes, and a lifetime parts warranty. Here is the list. The discount is subtracted on the written estimate, so a softener with whole-home filtration is $2,400 instead of $2,500, and the same system with reverse osmosis is $2,750 instead of $2,850.
| System | All-in published price |
|---|---|
| Softener only, no carbon filtration | $1,900 |
| Softener + whole-home filtration | $2,500 |
| Softener + whole-home filtration + reverse osmosis | $2,850 |
| XL system, 8+ residents or 4+ baths (city water only) | $2,800 · $3,150 with RO |
| Well dual-tank system (tank RO only, never tankless) | $3,450 · from $3,800 with tank RO |
| Salt-free conditioner (city water only, not a softener) | $3,050 |
| Carbon-only filtration tank | $1,150 · $1,450 catalytic, city water |
| Reverse osmosis alone | $800 tank · $900 tankless, city water only |
| UV disinfection (well water only) | $700 |
Iron and sulfur systems are the one thing we do not price in advance. They are quoted after a free water test, and the $100 comes off that quote the same way. Penn State extension guidance notes that a softener on its own is appropriate only when dissolved iron is under about 5 mg/L, which is exactly why those builds get measured before they get priced. Full pricing detail lives on our water softener cost and reverse osmosis cost pages.
0% financing is available on system purchases, and the $100 is subtracted from the system price before anything is financed. You do not have to pick one or the other.
There is no code and no form to print. Mention it when you call 319-319-6566, email ryan@kindwaterco.com, or add a note when you request an instant quote. We apply it to the written estimate before you sign anything.
For proof, a service ID, a badge, a department email address or a DD-214 is plenty. We look once, we say thanks, and we move on to the water.
It comes off the price of an installed system, not off our after-the-sale rates, which are flat and published for everyone. Annual service is $199 a year for a tank-RO home and $249 for a tankless-RO home. A diagnostic visit for an unknown issue is $199, waived the first year on systems we installed, and a known-issue visit is $99 for the trip plus the part. Travel is free for the first 50 miles from Marion, then $1 a mile.
It also does not change what your water actually needs. If the test says you need less than you came in asking for, we will say so, and $100 off a system you do not need is not a deal.
The warranty is the same for every customer: lifetime on parts, five years on media, one year on labor, insured and bonded. Our systems are certified to the NSF/ANSI standards. NSF/ANSI 44 is the softener standard, and NSF/ANSI 58 is the reverse osmosis standard, which requires at least 75% total dissolved solids reduction to certify.
There is no deadline on this page on purpose. Our prices are published and they stay published; most companies in this market publish none at all. The $100 will be here next month and the month after that.
The free in-home test gives you real numbers first, hardness in grains per gallon, iron and total dissolved solids, before anyone talks about equipment. From there you can look at water softeners, reverse osmosis, or well water treatment if you are on a private well.
We serve Eastern Iowa, including Marion, Cedar Rapids and the towns around them. Call 319-319-6566 and tell us where you serve or served.
Active duty, Reserve and National Guard members, veterans and military retirees, plus police officers, sheriff's deputies, career and volunteer firefighters, EMTs, paramedics and 911 dispatchers. If your role is close to that list but not exactly on it, call 319-319-6566 and ask us rather than guessing. We would rather sort it out before the estimate.
It is $100 off any system we sell and install. A softener with whole-home filtration is published at $2,500, so it is $2,400 with the discount, and the same system with reverse osmosis is $2,850, so $2,750. Those prices are all-in: equipment, installation by a licensed local plumbing professional, taxes and a lifetime parts warranty.
Yes. 0% financing is available on system purchases, and the $100 comes off the system price first, so the amount you finance is already reduced. Iron and sulfur systems are the one thing we do not price in advance, and there the $100 comes off the quote you get after your free water test.
A service ID, a badge, a department email address or a DD-214 covers it, and we check it once at the estimate. Nothing expires. We do not put deadlines on our pricing, so the $100 will still be here next month and next year, on whichever system your water test says makes sense.
