Kind Water Co offers 0% financing on every system we install in Iowa. Zero percent means no interest is added, so the total you repay is the published price you'd pay in one check — $2,500 for a whole-home softener with carbon filtration, $2,850 with reverse osmosis added. Approval and terms come from a third-party financing vendor, not from us.
It means the number doesn't grow. The balance is the installed price and nothing gets added on top of it — you're spreading a fixed amount over a schedule instead of paying it at once. It isn't a discount or a different price; it's the same price, split up.
The financing company writes the agreement, so their document is the authority on your term length, payment amount and rate. Read it before you sign. We're a family-owned company in Marion, founded in 2021 by Ryan Brunton, and we publish our prices on purpose — financing exists so the published price is reachable, not so it can hide behind a monthly figure.
Real numbers, because a monthly figure without a total isn't a price. Each is all-in: equipment, installation by licensed local plumbing professionals we vet, schedule and stand behind, taxes, and our warranty — lifetime parts, five years media, one year labor.
Iron and sulfur systems are the one thing we don't put a number on. They're sized to what's in your water and quoted after a free test — that quote finances the same way. Financing makes a big purchase reachable, which is why we'd rather it not talk anyone into one. Some Iowa utilities already soften the water: Iowa City's Water Division softens to about 3 grains, North Liberty runs reverse osmosis and nanofiltration at its plant, and Dubuque's own FAQ tells customers they don't need to soften further. In those homes the honest purchase is often just an $800 drinking-water unit.
A financed schedule has a last payment. A rental payment doesn't.

Three steps: book the free in-home water test, get a written all-in price for the system your water calls for, then apply through the vendor if you want to. Military members and first responders take $100 off, applied before financing.
The financed amount is the installed system. It doesn't include salt, annual service ($199 a year for a tank-RO home, $249 with a tankless RO), a $300 UV bulb on well systems that use one, or later service calls ($199 diagnostic, waived the first year on our own installs; $99 plus the part for a known issue). Travel is free for the first 50 miles from Marion, then $1 a mile. And media wears out — expect a tank swap near $1,000 in the 7-to-12-year range. Lifetime parts coverage is real, but it isn't a promise that nothing ever needs replacing.
The national dealer networks — Culligan, Kinetico, RainSoft — don't publish a purchase price. A monthly figure on its own leaves three things unknown: the total, the number of months, and whether you own anything at the end. Ask any company for those three in writing, us included.
